Prerna started on September 03, 2001 with 3 students and 4 teachers. Today we are expanding and more and more students are becoming a part of the Prerna Family.

The classes on Prerna campus are offered from Grade 3 to Grade 10, where the students are prepared not only for their upcoming Board exams, but they are also provided with real-life skills that will help them become independent both as individuals as well as learners, throughout their lives.

Our Philosophy
Research states that each individual has a specific learning style and pattern. Therefore, there can never be a uniform way in which everyone learns. Statistically speaking, a lot has been done for an average learner as well as a slow learner. However, this leaves out the gifted child who needs a customized education solution too! Our Dyslexic children are of mostly above-average intelligence. Therefore, at Prerna we offer two programmes:

	Education solutions for Dyslexics
	Education solutions for Gifted Learners

Broadly speaking, we can put both the above programmes, into Specific Learning Needs (SLN), which is an “organizing” difficulty. It can be either developmental in nature or can be Acquired. It interferes with an individual’s ability to store and process information, thereby creating a disparity between his ability and performance. This can affect his/her ability to read, write, speak, compute, spatial orientation, directions, sequencing, short-term memory and perception.

One month teachers training Programme will be conducted at Prerna in collaboration with Calorx Teachers? University.

	Resource Rooms – Latest CD’s, Audio Cassettes specially for the kids to explore.
	Home Rooms – Teacher Incharge takes care of the Home Rooms by putting up useful information on the soft boards for the kids to explore.
	Reading Room – Latest books, Reference Material, Activity books for classes II to X for the kids to explore.
	Exhibition Room – The charts, models, Literary Material related to all the subjects prepared by the students is displayed in the Exhibition Room.
	Learning Labs – Math and English Learning Labs to strengthen the basic concepts pertaining to the subject by the play way method.
	Computer Lab – Facilities like Internet, Eureka Software, Learn Next software for class IX and X to facilitate their visual needs.

	Multiple Intelligence Theory – Incorporation of Multiple Intelligence Theory while the students perform various activities.
	Graphic Organiser – Incorporation of Graphic Organiser in the booklets as well as assignments for better understanding of important concepts.
	Mentoring – Mentoring is done by the teachers to build up a rapport with the students.
	Quire Sheets – for all the classes to keep a record on the students progress.

International Teacher Volunteer

	Mr. Uluc Baslanti in 2006 worked in Prerna for a year as a primary and secondary teacher for English Subject.
	Ms. Kay Rott in 2009 worked in Prerna from July?09 ? Aug?09 as a primary teacher and also trained the students in Rope Skipping and basketball.
