Considering that the dyslexic children have to make huge efforts to read and write, it was a commendable feat that our students from Prerna took part in a "READING MISSION".  ‘The Reading Mission Project’ was organized by the British Library where, alongwith Prerna, nine schools from Ahmedabad had participated. The project was aimed at forming a reading habit amongst the children and spreading awareness about the pleasures of reading. From Prerna, 26 children participated and they read 52 books in total. Also, as part of this our children performed a skit, based on the book “Deep End” by Sam Hutton, the Grand Finale of which was held at Bhaikaka Bhavan on 14th of October.

A workshop was conducted on ‘Dyslexia’ by the Calorx Foundation, in order to create awareness and acceptance of dyslexic children by their parents as well as in the society. The workshop, by Mrs Shaila Vora on 27th November, consisted of activities of which the audience was involved making it interactive and equally beneficial. The workshop was open to all and received a good response.
